How MAPS Assessment works
Step 1 — Enter your two career paths
Start by entering any two careers you are considering pursuing simultaneously — for example, Software Developer + Photographer, or Nurse + Business Owner. There is no limit to the combinations you can test.
Step 2 — Answer the MAPS questions
You will be guided through four targeted questions — one for each dimension of the MAPS framework. Each question takes about 60 seconds to answer and is designed to surface how your two chosen paths relate to each other in practice.
Step 3 — Receive your score
Your responses are scored across four dimensions (M, A, P, S) producing a total score out of 12. Based on your score, you receive one of three verdicts: Compounding (8–12), Adjacent (4–7), or Competing (0–3).

- Team ($99/month per seat): Everything in Pro, plus a shared dashboard, white-label reports, bulk assessment tools, and API access — designed for universities, career centers, HR platforms, and staffing agencies.
How results are delivered
Results are shown immediately on screen at the end of the assessment. Pro users also receive an email copy of their full report. All results are stored in your account dashboard for future reference and comparison.
